Meet Piper
Piper is a beautiful red Pembroke Welsh Corgi girl growing up here at Bluebird Meadow Puppies in Middlebury, Indiana. Born on August 5, 2026, she is part of Kelly and Ace’s litter and is spending these first weeks surrounded by the familiar comfort of her littermates and our family.
These early days may seem simple, filled with eating, sleeping, playing, and growing, but they are an important part of Piper’s development. As the weeks pass, she will become increasingly curious about her surroundings and begin experiencing more of the everyday sights, sounds, people, and activity around her.
We especially enjoy this stage because it is when each puppy slowly begins to stand out as an individual. Piper still has plenty of growing to do, and we look forward to seeing more of her personality emerge as she gets closer to her September 30 go-home date.
A Corgi Companion in the Making
There is a reason Pembroke Welsh Corgis have earned such a devoted following. Behind those short legs and expressive faces are intelligent, alert dogs that tend to enjoy being right in the middle of family life.
Their history as herding dogs also helps explain the breed's clever, active nature. Corgis can be playful and entertaining companions while forming close bonds with their people. Piper's personality is still developing, but these next several weeks will give us the opportunity to learn more about the little Corgi girl she is becoming.
Piper’s Early Days at Bluebird Meadow
At Bluebird Meadow Puppies, we believe raising puppies well begins long before they leave for their new homes. Piper will receive hands-on care, loving attention, and early socialization throughout her time with us.
Being raised around family life gives her opportunities to become familiar with normal household activity while time with her littermates provides important puppy-to-puppy interaction. We introduce new experiences gradually and appropriately for her age, allowing Piper to explore and learn without rushing the process.
Our goal is to give her a positive beginning and help prepare her for the big transition that awaits when she joins her new family.
A Few Things to Make Home Feel Familiar
When September 30, 2026 arrives, Piper won't be starting her next adventure empty-pawed. She'll leave Bluebird Meadow Puppies with a few essentials to help her family get started, including:
A starter bag of Royal Canin puppy food
A collar and leash
A toy
Her goodie bag
Piper will also be microchipped through Global Pet Security with lifetime microchip registration. Her permanent identification provides an added safeguard should she ever become separated from her family, while her digital pet profile gives her owners a convenient place to keep important information connected with her.

Piper’s Next Chapter
For now, Piper has some very important puppy business to take care of: growing, playing with her littermates, discovering new things, and enjoying plenty of rest in between.
