Meet Lettie, a beautiful red Pembroke Welsh Corgi girl from Kelly and Ace’s August litter. She is growing up here at Bluebird Meadow Puppies in Middlebury, Indiana, where her first weeks are being spent surrounded by her littermates, our family, and plenty of loving care.
Right now, Lettie’s days are all about the important little things: growing, playing, resting, and discovering something new along the way. As she becomes more active and aware of her surroundings, we’ll have the fun of watching her individual personality begin to take shape.
Every puppy develops at their own pace, and we never want to make promises about personality too early. What we can say is that we’ll enjoy getting to know Lettie better with each passing week and helping her experience a positive, well-rounded beginning before September 30 arrives.
So Much to Love About a Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Those little legs and big ears may be what first catch your attention, but the personality of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is often what makes people fall in love with the breed.
Corgis were originally bred to work as herding dogs, which helps explain their intelligence, alertness, and willingness to stay involved in whatever is happening around them. They are often affectionate companions with playful personalities and plenty of character packed into a smaller package.
Lettie’s beautiful red coloring gives her that classic Corgi look, and as she matures, we’re excited to see the little dog behind that adorable puppy face begin to emerge.
Lettie’s First Weeks With Us
At Bluebird Meadow Puppies, our puppies are raised with family involvement from the beginning. Early socialization and age-appropriate experiences are incorporated into their first weeks to help familiarize them with people, activity, new surroundings, and the everyday world they will eventually encounter with their families.
Lettie also has the benefit of growing alongside her littermates. Puppy play and interaction provide their own opportunities for learning while she continues developing physically and socially.
These first eight weeks go by quickly, but they are filled with growth. We want Lettie to enjoy them while receiving the thoughtful care and attention she needs before leaving Bluebird Meadow for her next adventure.
Lettie’s Going-Home Essentials
When Lettie is ready to meet her new family, she’ll have a few things coming along with her to help everyone get started:
A starter bag of Royal Canin puppy food
A collar and leash

Her goodie bag
Lettie will also leave us microchipped through Global Pet Security with lifetime microchip registration. Her microchip provides permanent identification and an added layer of protection should she ever become separated from her family. Her owners can also maintain important information through her digital pet profile.

Lettie is the daughter of Kelly and Ace, two important members of the Bluebird Meadow Puppies family.
We believe families should have the opportunity to learn about the dogs behind their puppy, which is why we share information about our parent dogs. Knowing more about Kelly and Ace gives Lettie’s future family a better look at where their little Corgi’s story began.
From Our Meadow to Her New Home
For the next few weeks, Lettie gets to simply enjoy being a puppy. There will be littermate adventures, plenty of naps, new things to discover, and lots of growing between now and the end of September.
Then, on September 30, 2026, it will be time for this little red Corgi girl to begin an entirely new chapter. Until then, we’ll treasure having Lettie here with us and enjoy watching her grow from one of Kelly and Ace’s tiny puppies into a beautiful Pembroke Welsh Corgi girl ready to make memories with a family of her own.
